Storyline:
25 year-old Nakul Kaushik belongs to a middle class family. He lives with his father, mother, younger brother and grandmother. He works in a company and has a romantic relationship with his colleague Renee. Renee’s mother also approves their relationship. Everything was going smooth in Nakul’s life but suddenly his middle aged parents get pregnant. The unplanned and late pregnancy of his mother only gained mockery and disgust from everyone except his father.
Nakul cannot take it as a normal thing and feels ashamed for no reason. Even the neighbours start making fun them. When he tells about it to Renee she laughs at first but she tells him that it’s completely normal to have a baby for his parents. It doesn’t matter what people say. There’s nothing to be ashamed of because they are husband and wife. But Nakul struggles. He even starts avoiding his parents. His younger brother gets taunted and beaten by his school bullies because of his family matter. His mother, Priyamvada gets depressed and sad. She was not getting any support from her sons. Nakul’s cousin’s wedding was being held and they were invited. But Nakul and his brother decide not go so that they don’t get to face any humiliation. They make false excuses. But when his parents reach the ceremony the relatives start making jokes. Nakul’s grandmother was not happy about what happened but she finally steps in and defends her. Nakul’s mother is a really good person and took care of all family members. Just because she is a bit aged people started looking at her pregnancy in a negative manner. Even her own sons. But at Renee’s mother’s birthday party Nakul overhears an unfortunate discussion of Renee and her mother. Her mother was saying very rude stuff about Nakul’s mother being pregnant in this age. She calls his family a circus and disapproves Renee and Nakul’s relationship. Nakul gets angry and misbehaves with Renee’s mother. Renee gets angry and tells him to apologise. But Nakul leaves everything behind and realises that he was being unfair to his own mother. He should have supported her along with his younger brother. So he gets back home and talks to his brother. They both realise their mistake and wait for their mother to apologise. Also get excited for their new sibling.
This movie is a a well depiction of a social taboo. It gives us many lessons. But the most important one is to stick and support family members only family is true identity and has our true loved ones. It’s worth a shot and ahas so many fun scenes.
